The farm and holiday cottages (Agriturismo)

The recently refurbished one-storey building, made of local stone and covered with traditional roof tiles, contains 9 units (including one for handicapped persons) and a dining hall. It stands above a large, centuries-old olive grove gently declining towards the seashore. Special assets are the peaceful environment and intact landscape, and the location near the seaside. A pleasant 10-minute walk across the olive groves of the Acciardi estate will take you to the beach, bordered by a wonderful pine forest. Horse stables are being planned, so that in the near future it will be possible to take horse rides to the surrounding countryside. The farm produces vegetables, fruit, olive oil, wheat; you will love the local bread, pies and cakes.

Worth visiting in the area

In the surroundings of the estate we suggest to visit the following places of interest:
In downtown Amendolara, the Archaeological Museum.
In Roseto, the castle of Emperor Frederick II, perched over the sea.
Near Trebisacce, the pre-Greek site of Broglio and the Saraceno valley.
In Sibari, the Greek city famous for its proverbial wealth, the excavations and Museum.
In Cassano, the Sybarite Baths.
In Metaponto, the Archaeological Museum and the Temple of the Palatine Tables.

Moreover, the archaeological site of Timpone della Motta (Francavilla Marittima), the National Archaeological Museum in Policoro, the castles of Oriolo and Corigliano, the impressive Ravanello gorges near Civita, the pilgrimage church of the Suffering and the byzantine Temple of St. Mark's in Rossano, the cyclopean walls of Paludi.

In addition to the sites just mentioned, the old towns of Albidona, Alessandria del Carretto, Canna , Nocara, Cassano allo Jonio, Montegiordano, Oriolo, Plataci, San Lorenzo und Villapiana are also worth a visit.
One of the largest natural reserves in Southern Italy is the Mount Pollino National Park.
